Sound and vision: teaching and learning in the Covid classroom

At long last, we are meeting in person again at our favourite venue. Come along and say ‘hello!’. Irene is looking forward to meeting you.

Chances are you’re reaching the point of covid apathy and have already succumbed to the new normal, but if you can stand a little light reflection, Irene will tell her takeaways from a year of both learning and teaching online.

Based on her semi-virtual year at MA Voice course at RCSSD, she’ll explain why her presentation handbook will need a new chapter and that even voice teachers leave themselves on mute.

Irene Friend is a Voice Coach based in the South of England. She works with actors and non-actors to boost presentation, voice and story skills. Her previous speech at the Galley Club focussed on just that. She is in the process (aren’t we all) of writing a Northern and frank guide to public speaking… now including pandemic rhetoric.
