The Galley Club meeting on Tuesday, 1 December 2020

Sarah Townsend built a successful 20-year freelance copywriting career with very little guidance. Earlier this year, she wrote her #1 bestseller, Survival Skills for Freelancers, to help others do the same – but faster and with few mistakes!

Sarah was invited to give an online talk to The Galley Club members and guests, who essentially hail from the print and publishing world. Her brief was to focus on the challenges people face when venturing into the world as a freelancer; referencing her highly successful book ‘Survival Skills for Freelancers’.

Sarah’s talk was so perceptive and helpful. Sarah talked frankly, without diversion, on her career, the successes and the pitfalls – and even touching on pensions – with clear guidance for anyone thinking about a vocational change of direction now.

Her talk was well-constructed and informative. In the following Q & A session, Sarah responded easily to questions from our audience to the satisfaction of all. She was charming and her advice was sound.
