David Pearson—Money for old rope: repackaging the classics

David Pearson was full of great ideas and gave us great insight into the logic of Penguin campaigns of the past – and present. David Pearson is an award-winning London-based designer working in all areas of print, specifically book design and branding. David studied at Central St Martins in London (1999–2002) before taking a job at Penguin Books as text designer and later, cover designer. He left to establish his own studio –Type as Image – in 2007. He is a regular visiting lecturer and runs workshops in design schools around the world, among them Central St Martins, the University of Reading and the Typography Summer School. David was appointed a member of AGI (Alliance Graphique Internationale) in 2013, has been listed as one of Britain’s Top 50 Designers by The Guardian and was named by Debrett’s as one of Britain’s 500 most influential people in 2015.  DSC_0346_S DSC_0343_S DSC_0344_S DSC_0336_S DSC_0328_S
